For adults, $90 an hour in your home and $75 on Zoom. Kids run 45 minutes in home at $70. Founding rates for my first 10 new students, through December 31, 2026: $75 in home, $60 on Zoom, $60 for kids. Production and songwriting run at the same rates. The whole grid is on the rates page.

No, and I won't make you learn. I teach chord charts and ear, not sight-reading. You'll learn to hear what's going on in a song and play along with it.

Yes. Kids' lessons run 45 minutes, in your home, with a parent or guardian home during the lesson. We start from music your kid actually likes. When they're ready to play for someone, we build a low-pressure moment for it, family first. Siblings book back to back, 45 minutes each, $125 a week for both.

Yes, from the inside. I gig jazz on bass around Denver, duo to quartet. And the theory I teach is plain music theory: jazz is one palette of colors, and so are pop, rock, flamenco, and R&B. We use whichever palette your music is painted with.

Denver runs weekly jams, and I'm a known player at them. When you're ready, that's a destination we can aim lessons at: I teach you the tune you'll call ahead of time, walk you through the signup list, introduce you around, and I'll be there. Jams are 21 and over. Which jam and which night is a conversation we have person to person.
